**Kendrapada:** A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her tuition teacher at Ambapada village here on Friday evening.
The accused has been identified as Ganesh Nayak (25) of Pata Singha village.
Reportedly, the differently abled tuition teacher took advantage of the absence of the minor’s parents and allegedly raped the minor at her place. The accused also made a video of the crime and threatened the girl to not open her mouth.
Later when the girl’s mother needed to send some of her documents to her relative through whatsapp, she asked for the teacher’s help and during this along with the documents, the shot video was sent. Following this, the family got to know about the teacher’s heinous crime and lodged a complaint at the Nikirai police station.
Meanwhile, the villagers detained the accused and handed him over to the police.
The police have detained the accused teacher and are further investigating into the matter.
